I photographed this very unique structure yesterday for Wilkie Sanderson. I am in the process of completing their web site and continue to take photos of their work.
This piece stands in the lobby of the new addition to the Minnesota Children's theatre. The structure was designed by Michael Graves and stands 40 feet tall. The beams are from the old Big Joe Flour Mill in Wabasha, Minnesota. An artist from Montana milled and fitted it together, and Wilkie Sanderson assembled the structure.
I am heading out to the East Coast for a few days to play photojournalist for YouthWorks. If I have a chance, I'll post some photos from the road.
