Executive Results Web Site

Susan Motzko came to me to design a web site for her company, "Executive Results " where she coaches executives and teams using horses. Being a horse lover and owner, I jumped at the chance to work with such a great person and business! Susan wanted a clean site that would appeal to corporate executives. As I designed the site, it was a challenge to keep it simple, but I'm really happy with the results of this "less is more" approach!

Sergio Photographer Splash Page

I am in a photography group with Sergio Photographer. In my opinion, he is one of the best wedding photographers in the world! He came to me to design a unique opening page to his web site (not designed by me). I set up the design so that he can change the main photo occasionally. Sergio has this to say about the design: "How freaking awesome!!!! I just uploaded it!!! It looks great!!"

Clearfield, Inc. Web Site Design

Clearfield, Inc., formerly APA Cables and Networks, launched an updated line of products and wanted a new web site to reflect these changes. I created the design of this site and Creative Arc. did the development and implementation.

As a photographer, I have a lot of friends in the industry. Stormie came to me to design a logo for her new photography business. She wanted a classy font-based logo that used natural, soft colors. We were both really happy with how the logo turned out!

YouthWorks Brochure

I've fallen behind on blogging recent design projects. This is not for lack of completed projects, it's more that I've been busy doing client work, I haven't kept up with sharing here. I'll try to do better! First up is the YouthWorks brochure. This is the third year I've designed the brochure and it's a fun challenge to come up with a slightly new look and feel each year, while keeping consistent with their brand. This year we went with more of a graphic look, where in past years, the design was photo centric.

Southwest Inititative Foundation 2007 Annual Report

Southwest Inititative Foundation 2007 Annual Report Web Site Each year for the past four years, I have worked with the Southwest Initiative Foundation to develop an online version of their annual report, reach with a unique theme and visual presentation. I design the overall look, and the Foundation takes the lead in adding and formatting content. You can view previous annual reports on their web site. This year's theme was "Just Imagine". The site features a shorter version of a documentary by the same name, developed by the foundation earlier this year.

Wilkie Sanderson Web Site Goes Live!

This web site has been a long time coming! Wilkie Sanderson is a custom manufacturer of fine wood cabinetry, institutional casegoods, solid surface products and architectural millwork. They were looking a minimalist design that showed off their breadth of experience and clearly communicated the great strengths of this company. When I first started on this project, they had very little in the way of project photography, so in addition to building their web site, I took much of the photography you see in their "Projects" section. They wisely took the time to get enough quality photography of their projects before launching the site. www.wilkiesanderson.com

I'm Famous!

Not really, but I was interviewed for podcast on a new designer's web site called "Designers Inner Circle".

"Famous Graphic Designers Expert Interviews" Learn what separates these famous graphic designers from all the others. You'll learn their thoughts on design trends, business strategies, client relationships and other inside secrets that have put them at the forefront of the design world.

The only catch is, you have to be a member to listen.

Icing and Ink Logo

I feel just awful for neglecting my design blog! I've been too busy designing to post anything. I'll try and catch up in the next couple of weeks. This logo is for Paula Hewett, a client I've never met in person, but really adore. :-D She is based in California and is starting up a custom cake and invitation business. I truly enjoyed designing this logo because it is fun subject matter and I could be girly about my design because my client is a woman, and most of her clients will also likely be women. Right now, I am working on business cards and some other fun print projects. Then I'll be working on a web site. Look for more Icing & Ink in the blog soon!

Doran Companies Design Concept

I designed this home page and secondary page concept for Creative Arc out of Minneapolis. They are working with Doran Companies to build them a new web site. In this type of arrangement, I create the general look and feel of the site and Creative Arc implements the site. We have a great relationship and I really enjoy creating refreshing designs for their sites! This design very nicely reflects my design aesthetic - clean lines, lots of visual breathing room, and good balance between all the elements.

Jacob's well is a contemporary, spirit-filled church in Mt. Carmel, IL. Shane Whetstone, the church's pastor, found me through my friend Randy Bohlender. He was looking for a new logo for the church and really connected with my style. He had sketched an idea of what he wanted. I took that and designed this logo. I hit the nail on the head and he loved it right away!

Peter DeMott Postcards

Peter Demott is an Ohio-based equine photographer who I know through an equine photographer's network I belong to. He contacted me a couple of weeks ago about creating a postcard/flyer for him to promote his equine photography portrait business. It was fun to work on another photographer's marketing materials and with Peter's beautiful photos!
